The Gym and Apprentices

So how exactly does one go about getting apprentices? I added a friend who wasn't playing yet as an apprentice. He got the message that I wanted him as one and he clicked on the link. He's now playing and I haven't received jack yet. No cash, no Pro Points as promised, not even as much as a confirmation from the game. So I then decided to add a friend who already was playing the game as an apprentice. Same thing. They clicked on the link, it just started them in the game just as usual, no mention of me, anything about an apprentice, and again no cash or Pro Points for me.

So what exactly did i do wrong?

They took it away because losers were cheating. Thanks to few many will suffer.
