How do I report a hacker?
Post an anonymous report making sure you follow the
Cheater Reporting Guidelines in the
"Report a cheater" Galaxy Life forums!
Only Player Moderators and Community Managers will see your reports in these forums, they won't be visible for other players. Because of that, you won't see replies there, but make sure that all the cases will be considered to patch the cheats and ban the cheaters.
You are
not allowed to post any of the following information:
- Hacker Name
- Hacker Coordinates
- Hacker Alliance Name
- Hacker Facebook ID
This also includes, but not limited to, pictures and images that include such relevant details. Any post, thread or visitor message will be edited or detailed if they contain this credentials.
If a suspected hacker's information is posted publicly, other users may attack that particular user, or send abuse. However that user is only 'suspected', and may not actually be hacking. How would you like having your name and coordinates plastered on the forum for the whole world to see under the impression that you're a cheater? In some cases Digital Chocolate staff were actually being reported.
Everyone is innocent regardless of circumstance until their logs are checked and they are confirmed, by the team, that they are indeed hacking the game.
How long does it take to ban a hacker?
Unfortunately, the current banning system is a rather slow process. The portion of the team that is not devoted to fixing bugs or making new features will take a look through the reports, checking every user individually and carefully, to assure minimal mistakes on their part - this includes double checking, and sometimes triple checking reports. A lot of verification takes place since we don't want innocent users wrongfully banned, and once a user is verified as having hacked the game they are added to a list that periodically will be passed to Luck Norris (who will then ban them).
How long are hackers banned for?
In the past some bans were shorter, but since February 2013 all bans are
4 years long.Are you sure you've never used any kind of cheat, hack, or exploit? Did anyone else have access to your account that may have done so? While it is rare for the team to make a mistake in banning, we will admit that it can and has happened. In the event that you are banned, but you are sure you've never used any kind of cheat, you can submit a
support ticket to ask the team to un-ban your account. Please remember to be specific, and include your Facebook ID. They will re-check your account, and take any appropriate actions.

Due to the extremely large volume of reports Chico gets every day, it is not practical to reply to each and every PM unfortunately! So please DON'T send him a message to report a cheater. Instead please follow the steps mentioned in the 'How do I report a hacker?' section of this post.
